Long… I think.
That is the first good thing about it. We ended the year with one of our colleagues urging us to meet for the 2023 Christmas party however this new year will be.
This sounded somehow sad for me. Otherwise, it gets me thinking about the social component of our club and about what I (still) see as a priority for 2023.
Besides the lack of the games we were used to, mental struggles and a general decay as if us, the club, are still fighting some ugly post-covid symptoms, I think it was a good year cause I have great and unique memories from the tours we took (even if I have written less). These seemed to me always as a space where time does not exist. The trainings were, still, a great way to keep a certain fitness level which has a lot of (positive) implications in our personal lives. Hanging out was funnier and fueled new relationships.
There were also stressful and unpleasant moments, but I think I have forgotten them, or they pop up only as an impulse for the on-going efforts.
I feel optimistic about 2023 and I think all this past experience will unlock new ways of enjoying the membership to this club.
