About us
Romania is one of the oldest European rugby nations having a few considerable international performances and Bucharest is a fun touristic destination. Add the host club to this – Arlechinii București – and you get a top rugby festival.
Arlechinii București is an amateur rugby club that is keen on (incredible great) social rugby – keep that in mind. We play rugby for fun, smiling. Whether we lose or win, we always respect the opponent, recognize and applaud the value.
World wide rugby clubs have already been touring in Bucharest but now we want to step our game up by hosting more teams and put ourselves on the map of top destinations for social rugby experiences.

The festival
We start the festival on Friday evening with an opening party in a central location that allows for plenty of after-party options or more exploration through the most attractive side of Bucharest.
Saturday is the rugby day!
If you make it through the night 🧛, your team will enjoy 5 games, Romanian made barbecue, local beer and off the pitch fun..
In the evening, we gather for the closing ceremony.

You might find an answer for some of your questions before calling us.
You can use Booking, Airbnb, or search on Maps. We can support you with some suggestions depending on your budget. For best transportation to and from festival venue and pubs/fun alternatives look for locations near Piata Universitatii, Piata Unirii, Piata Romana.
Getting to different places is not difficult. From the Henri Coandă airport you can get in the city in around 40 minutes either by the STB bus 100 – 8 lei / 2 Euro (check also the Info TB app for the public transport), by train – 25 lei / 5 Euro (check just outside the arrivals terminal) or by taxi. Inside the city you can consider the public transport as it is great value for the price.
Transportation from city center to the festival venue and back is included in the festival experience.
Each team will have it’s own tent. There will be toilets, parking, food, drinks, music and many more.
You will require travel insurance. Despite having medical assistance at the pitch, which will cover minor injuries, cuts and bruises, for more serious cases it is better to have at least the European Health Insurance Card if you`re joining us from the EU, Switzerland or the UK. Else, it is your responsibility to arrange for any insurance you might consider for this kind of event.
