Rugby tours @ Arlechinii București

Where history cuddles modern (rugby)

In the early 20th century, Bucharest was well known as ‘the Little Paris’. The flavors of that Little Paris can be felt by visiting the Old City Center, the Cișmigiu Gardens, Calea Victoriei boulevard or Kiseleff boulevard. Visiting the Village Museum (near the Triumph Arch, in Herăstrău Park), the Museum of the Romanian Peasant, the Museum of Art, or the Museum of National History will offer a quiet time of reflection and will bring you closer to the Romanian spirit.

It is a must to visit the world’s heaviest and most expensive building in the world (of course, because now it hosts the Romanian parliament) that can be found in the center of Bucharest since the '80s. It is also the second largest building in the world after the less famous Pentagon.

You can find various culinary experiences in the Old City Center (from `sarmale` - cabbage rolls stuffed with mincemeat with a side of polenta - pizza, pasta or burgers to molecular cuisine). You can also try and experience the "smalls" with bread and mustard (mici or mititei, as we call them), alongside a cold beer served in a plastic cup, or, if you prefer an even more local experience, Romanian cheese and tomatoes in Piața Obor (public market - look for the smoke of the grill; beware of your wallet and pockets).

Choose smart

Choose to play great rugby with Arlechinii București - choose to have a weekend in Bucharest.
There are a lot of opportunities to spend a unique weekend: art galleryes, museum visits, SPA's, theaters, historical sites.

Arlechinii București will welcome you

Who is intrested about what we wrote above should look on some other websites. If you are intrested in rugby and if you want to have a weekend to remember full of rugby and fun, please continue reading.

Arlechinii București, one of its kind in Bucharest, an amateur rugby team founded in 2011, are trying to play rugby following Romainan traditions. Hence you will find big fat boys always ready for a scrum and a pick-and-go. Bring your big guys to Bucharest as they will have a lot of work and fun.

Arlechinii București is an amateur team that is keen on (increddible great) social rugby - keep that in mind. We play rugby for fun with a smile on our faces. Whether we lose or win, we always respect the opponent, recognize and applaud the value.

A decent hostel in the city center start at 25 Euro/day/person (we reccomend this option).

We can recommend few unusual things to do:

    • For a mixed experience visit Therme and Grivița Public Bath (Baia Comunală Grivița; plan one day at Therme and 30 minutes at Baia Grivița)
    • Plan a one day trip to Bran (visit Bran Castle - imagine that is Dracula's Castle but is not) or Sinaia (visit Peleș Castle)
    • Schedule a visit at a Dental clinque (yes, dental tourism is for real; use code Tour@Arlechinii at Activ Dent to get special discounts).
    • Visit Belu Cemetery
    • Play rugby with Arlechinii București
    • Eat (give a try to "smalls" aka mici/mititei with bread, mustard and cold beer)
    • Drink (try local artisanal beers - top quality at low prices) and dance in pubs or clubs
    • Sleep (eventually)
    • Repeat

Add to all of these the fact you can have great drinks and food at low prices, a lot of small SPA's saloons and non-stop pub fun in the Old City Center.

We will be happy to assist you in organizing your tour and help you to have THE Rugby Tour to remember.

You will never forget

Drinks at incredible low prices, non-stop pub fun, pretty girls and many others

BONUS: We might let you win the rugby game!
PS: Seriously doubt this bonus!

A short summary

Accommodations

You can find accommodations as low as 12 Euro/day/person (most likely a dirty hostel in a dangerous area). A decent hostel in the city center start at 25 Euro/day/person.

The sky is the upper limit (if you choose to stay at a 5* hotel - we never been there).
